Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy is examining and evaluating patients with mechanical, physiological and developmental impairments, functional limitations and disability or other health-related conditions in order to determine a physical therapy diagnosis, prognosis, and planned therapeutic intervention. Therapeutic interventions may include therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual therapy (soft tissue and joint manipulation and mobilization), therapeutic massage and physical agents (such as ultrasound, hot/cold packs, and electrical stimulation). Clients will learn how to prevent injury, the effect of impairments and functional limitations, and about the promotion and maintenance of fitness, health and quality of life in all age populations.
